Successful Evaluations for Clients
Cayo Energy staff have been quietly assisting our clients in the evaluation and acquisition of large and small assets in the US, Equatorial Africa, and Latin America. Some of our recent projects include:
  • An evaluation of reserves and producing royalty acreage in deep water areeas of the Gulf of Mexico. This evaluation led to the acquisition of royalty interests from major multinational oil and gas companies by our client, a small, privately held royalty trust.

  • An evaluation of exploration assets in a shallow water block, offshore Nigeria. A successful farm-in was executed by our client, a privately held E&P company.

  • Evaluations of exploration acerage and of producing oil and gas assets in Brazil for our client, a major multinational midstream company.

  • Evaluations of corporate acquisition targets and major natural gas assets in the continental US for our client, an integrated multinational energy company based in Asia. The opportunities were wide ranging in scope, and included gas to power, LNG, and petrochemical projects from the Gulf Coast to the northeastern US.

  • Successful exploration evaluations and arbitrage opportunities in the stock of multinational oil and gas companies by our client, a major US-based hedge fund. The evaluation focused on assets held within the highly prolific Guyana-Suriname Basin in northern South America.

We continue to provide these services to existing and new clients for ongoing projects.
Cayo Energy’s staff has also played crucial roles in the discovery and delineation of other fields around the world, including the early appraisal of the billion barrel STOOIP Liuhua Field (wells 6-9, offshore People’s Republic of China) and the appraisal of Situche Central Field (Peru, then operated by Talisman).
